Al Andrews - Tulane Hall of Fame.  Big Al Andrews earned a basketball scholarship to Tulane University, where he was voted team captain and MVP all three of his varsity years. During his sophomore year, he was named All-Southeastern Conference and was also declared an Academic All-American for two seasons. After earning his undergraduate degree from Tulane, Al was drafted by teams in the NBA and ABA, however he and his wife, Cindy, decided to briefly pursue the adventure of professional basketball in Monaco. He then returned to Tulane law school and was admitted to the Louisiana State Bar in May of 1971. Al's competitive drive, from his athletic background, carried over to business, where he enjoyed a long and successful career as an executive of multiple apparel firms and as a founder of two, New Orleans based, companies, Andrews Sport in 1996 and most recently, Tasc Performance, an innovative activewear brand built on specialized fabrics, created under his leadership. Al lived life fully, authentically, and with passion. His generosity, loyalty, sense of humor and humanity touched the lives of many and he is deeply missed by his Tulane family.
